Owner of BIG TOM Driving School expands on his vision for driving trainer needs in the near future (0775 607 1464)
Since 2009, this driving school has developed a reputation for meeting customers’ needs with respect, dignity and professionalism. The BIG TOM Intensive Driving Course remains the top seller for providing quality and value but there is also plenty of work available for the traditional “pay as you go” driving lessons.
BIG TOM currently serves customers across 4 driving test centres and whilst there is plenty of additional work available within these test centres of Peterborough, Grantham, Lincoln and Boston; there is a great opportunity for applicants to join this franchise using other locations.
The organisation is built around trust between customers and franchisees. Customers are happy and willing to pay for training in advance, even with a no refund cancellation policy because the service they receive is guaranteed and dependable. This means for BIG TOM franchisees no last minute cancellations with “dead” time in the diary, and also payment received in advance. The minimum hourly rate is £23.86 increasing to £30 per hour.
A BIG TOM franchisee can expect all the pre-course administration to be completed by BIG TOM Admin leaving just the in-car training and update of the IT software regarding pupil progress (IT competency is essential). Franchisees are expected to work in harmony of tried and tested methods adapted over the years which result in outcomes with integrity – this is a key unique selling point over our competitors because the safety of our customers is our number one priority. Whilst many will refer to passing driving tests, BIG TOM concerns itself with developing confident and competent newly qualified drivers. Training is provided to conduct accurate assessments for the benefit of pupils.
There is no monthly fixed fee for the franchise. Franchisees are invoiced for customer referrals AFTER the customer has paid the franchisee for the training.
Induction training is provided, as is uniform, car branding and stationary. Interested parties who are not currently working in the industry are encouraged to read the ebook “Reflections of a Driving Instructor” written by the Owner Tom Ingram.
