James from Bourne Passes Driving Test on Day 5 of BIG TOM Intense Driving Course
Local butcher from Bourne, James Shorten bagged himself a Full Driving Licence after attending the popular BIG TOM course. He booked his course on the 21st June, started the in-car training on the 11th July and received his driving licence from the examiner at Grantham on the 15th July. James seen here with his test pass at Grantham Driving Test Centre said “Tom, it was an absolute pleasure”.
The pressure was on James as his theory test pass was due to expire shortly – the DVSA stipulate that there is a 2 year window to pass the driving test having passed the theory test. If that 2 years elapses, then the theory test has to be retaken and passed again.

James was quick to identify how useful the course has been to him, after he was able to practise driving in Peterborough, Stamford and Spalding as well as passing his actual driving test in Grantham. He feels properly prepared for the many journeys that he will be doing over to his hometown in Northampton. He passed his test with just 3 driving faults committed which the examiner congratulated him afterwards saying it was a “steady drive”.
