BIG TOM has just heard that another customer has passed his driving test at Peterborough using his own car.
Alex Pinchin from Boston did his BIG TOM Intensive Driving Course over 3 weekends and then managed to bag himself a lovely new car from his generous parents. He still hadn’t passed his theory test at that point so wasn’t able to book a driving test. Mrs Pinchin has just been in touch with Tara at BIG TOM Admin and said:

This is the sort of result that BIG TOM is always very happy to hear about. Lesley Young (Chief Examiner from the DVSA) recently pointed out the following:
“Evidence also shows that the pass rate for those who take their test in their own car is slightly higher than those who take it in a dual-controlled car.”
This may on the face of it appear to be surprising to some but it is perfectly logical and many customers have made use of the flexibility that the BIG TOM intensive course provides. When pupils take their driving tests in their own cars they are really embracing the responsibility of ensuring they feel safe and confident driving their car independently on the road – so it is very logical for this to be confirmed in their increased pass rates.
